Operation Round Up – October 2025

Local Organizations Receive Operation Round Up Grant

Plymouth, Ind. – Operation Round Up awards local non-profits with grants to support the work they do in the community. The Marshall County REMC Operation Round Up® board awarded $4,700 to the following organizations:

Plymouth and Culver’s Blessings in a Backpack programs received funding to assist with the cost of the weekend backpack program. The Blessings in a Backpack program mobilizes communities, individuals and resources to provide weekend meals for elementary school children in food-insecure households.

Brotherhood of Professional Police Officers and Emergency Services received funding to provide gift cards to senior citizens with limited or fixed income during the holiday season. 

First United Methodist Church’s Community Meal program received funding to assist with the cost of providing free hot meals to anyone in the community for one month. The Community Meal program provides free hot meals to residents of local communities on the last Wednesday of each month.

The Plymouth High School Band program received funding to restore one instrument for participants to use in the United Sound Program. The United Sound program provides instrumental music instruction to special needs students.

Washington Discover Academy received funding to provide children the opportunity to attend student enrichment programs without facing economic barriers. Washington Discovery Academy strives to provide a supportive and engaging learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity and academic growth for all students.

The next round of grants will be awarded in January. Charitable organizations within the Marshall County REMC service territory are eligible to apply. The organization does not have to be a member of Marshall County REMC. Applications are available at marshallremc.com/operation-round-up/.
