Due to concerns regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, and following the recommendation of Governor Holcomb, the Board of Directors of Marshall County REMC has made the decision to postpone the Cooperative’s Annual Membership meeting that is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7 at the Plymouth Wesleyan Church.
Our Board of Directors will continue to monitor the situation to determine when the meeting can be rescheduled. We will keep the membership informed on additional decisions through our Newsletter, website, Facebook page and local media.
The Cooperative’s Annual Membership Meeting is the most important member event of the year that includes fun for the whole family. Members are the reason for the Cooperative’s existence and the Annual Meeting has been a major event every year since 1939.
The REMC is governed by a Board of Directors who are elected by the members at the Annual Meeting. The Directors are challenged with the responsibility of representing the membership in major decisions that face the cooperative on a yearly basis. Each member who has an account with us in their name is entitled to a vote. The annual meeting also is an opportunity for members to review the business results and operations of the cooperative for the proceeding year.
